Newcastle United were pre-season favourites to win the Championship, and have once again moved out in front with SkyBet after two successive league wins.
Newcastle United Manager Rafa Benitez
Popular bookmakers SkyBet have installed Newcastle United as new favourites to win the Championship at evens, ahead of Norwich City who are second on the list at 5/2.
The Championship season has begun in typically unpredictable fashion, with Huddersfield Town currently sitting top of the table, and big clubs such as Aston Villa and Derby County languishing near the relegation zone.

League leaders Huddersfield are still not convincing the bookies, and come in at fourth favourites at 16/1, behind third favourites Brighton & Hove Albion at 6’s.
With the money spent by Rafa Benitez at St James’ Park, there really should be no excuse for them not to win the division at a canter.
Aston Villa’s Ross McCormack
The same could be said for Aston Villa, with big money being spent on the likes of Ross McCormack and Jonathan Kodjia.
They are currently embroiled in a state of turmoil, however, after Roberto Di Matteo was sacked at the start of this week.
Amazingly, SkyBet list the Villans as eighth favourites to win the league at 66/1.
There is still a long way to go, and so much can still happen, but it would take quite a remarkable turnaround from Villa for them to even contend for a play-off place.
It will be interesting to see how long Huddersfield can keep up their good form, and after what Leicester City achieved last season, they really must believe that anything is possible.
