Lazaar has been linked with a move from Newcastle to Italy.

Newcastle United defender Achraf Lazaar could be about to end his nightmare two-year spell on Tyneside with Italian side Genoa reportedly keen on the Moroccan – but some Toon fans surprisingly want to keep him.
Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his official website that Genoa have targeted the out-of-favour 26-year-old, who was loaned to relegated Italian outfit Benevento last season.
Genoa need a new left-footed defender as they are reportedly set to lose Uruguay international Diego Laxalt to AC Milan, after he starred at the World Cup for his country.
Lazaar joined Newcastle from Palermo in the summer of 2016, but two years later, he has managed just 10 appearances in all competitions for The Magpies. He has three years left on the five-year contract he signed.

Paul Dummett remains first choice at St. James’ Park, but Newcastle are currently lacking in options at full-back, with DeAndre Yedlin suffering a knee injury. It leaves just Dummett and Javier Manquillo as first-team options.
In light of USA international Yedlin’s recent injury, some Newcastle fans believe Benitez needs to keep Lazaar as cover, despite the defender being completely ostracised and the club actively working to offload him throughout the summer.
