Newcastle United have been linked with a new move for Tammy Abraham.

Newcastle United ended their first season back in the Premier League with a top half finish, having thumped Chelsea 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Magpies must now work hard in the transfer market to bring in new faces, with a new striker absolutely imperative for manager Rafael Benitez.

Now, TEAMtalk report that Newcastle have an interest in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham as well as teammate Kenedy, though loan deals for both would be impossible.

Premier League clubs can’t sign more than one player on loan from one divisional rival, meaning a double raid would have to be purchasing at least one of them.

A move for Abraham would be harking back to last summer when Newcastle attempted to take him on loan for the season, but he ended up choosing a switch to Swansea City instead.

Abraham was in demand after hitting 26 goals in 48 games for Bristol City, but the 20-year-old managed just eight goals in 39 games for Swansea as they suffered relegation.

The England international now heads back to Chelsea but could be farmed out once again, and Newcastle fans aren’t exactly keen on the idea of Benitez returning with a new move for the striker.

Many feel that Abraham isn’t good enough for Newcastle now and having turned the club down once, he shouldn’t be given the chance again – though others do think he could develop under Benitez and a double deal with Kenedy may not be the worst thing in the world.
