Newcastle are reportedly looking to land the Lyon attacker on loan.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Olympique Lyonnais attacker Martin Terrier before the end of the January transfer window – but Toon fans are hardly excited at the prospect of landing the Frenchman.
French newspaper L’Equipe have claimed that Newcastle are interested in signing the 21-year-old attacker on loan until the end of the season, though the report does not include whether a permanent clause would be included.
Terrier has featured 21 times for Lyon this season in all competitions, scoring four goals and making two substitute appearances in Lyon’s Champions League campaign – they face Barcelona in the last 16.
Newcastle are said to be after a number 10 and a winger this month, and Terrier can operate as both. The former Lille and Strasbourg star can also be used as a striker.

Though hardly the proven attacker Newcastle fans may be looking for their club to sign help escape the clutches of relegation, Terrier’s speed and skill can excite many on his day.
He has the ability to create something out of nothing, but Toon fans are not impressed with the potential signing of Terrier and have taken to Twitter to express their dismay at the links.
