A number of Newcastle United fans responded to Salomon Rondon’s defiant message on Twitter.

Several Newcastle fans have responded to Salomon Rondon’s tweet which saw the on-loan striker send out a defiant message after his underwhelming start to the season at St James’ Park.
There was plenty of expectation on Rondon’s shoulders when he arrived in the summer. While he was never prolific with West Brom, he boasted a decent goals return in each of his seasons at The Hawthorns.
Unfortunately for the 29-year-old, life with the Magpies has been much more disappointing. Rondon is yet to score in five Premier League appearances for Newcastle and has spent a decent chunk of his time with the club out injured.
Newcastle are facing a crucial run of games. The Magpies are still awaiting their first league win of the season and now face back-to-back home games against two of the most in-form sides in the top flight.

Rondon has taken to social media to hint that he is raring to go. The striker’s tweet – which included a photo of himself in training – included a philosophical message suggesting that he will not give up on the challenge in front of him.
However, many of the Newcastle fans do not appear to be in the mood for these kind of messages. They simply want to see Rondon end his goal drought in the league as quickly as possible, and they have had little issue telling him that ahead of the weekend.
