Newcastle United claimed a huge win on Saturday afternoon, beating West Ham United 3-2 at St James’ Park.
The Magpies were 2-0 up in the first half as West Ham committed a couple of blunders; Issa Diop’s own goal opened he scoring, before Joelinton profited from Lukasz Fabianski dropping a cross on the line.
With Craig Dawson sent off, it looked like Newcastle were coasting towards a win – but the Hammers came roaring back in the second half.
Diop headed in a Jarrod Bowen cross, and Jesse Lingard continued his goalscoring form as he fired home from the penalty spot.
Newcastle looked to have squandered two points, but substitute Joe Willock popped up with another key goal, giving Newcastle the win.
The Arsenal loanee has scored three big goals now; one on his debut against Southampton, one to rescue a point against Tottenham Hotspur and one to beat West Ham.

Steve Bruce has now admitted that he would love to build his team around Willock, sparking hopes that Newcastle could bring him back to the club on loan or permanently.
Fans seem baffled though, believing that Bruce would have a better chance of signing Willock permanently if he actually started him.
Willock is on the bench at the moment, and fans are calling for Bruce to actually start him in order to convince him that Newcastle can be his long-term home.
