Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez has been surprisingly linked with a return to Spain.

Newcastle United have enjoyed a remarkable run of form in recent weeks, winning four games in a row – and Ayoze Perez has played a major part in that.
The Magpies have picked up victories over Southampton, Huddersfield Town, Leicester City and Arsenal to drive up the Premier League title, with Perez starring.
After hitting the winner against Huddersfield, Perez also scored at Leicester, and even equalised against Arsenal on Sunday in another promising display.

The 24-year-old has stepped up in recent weeks, and his performances have shown that manager Rafael Benitez may not need to dip into the transfer market for another attacking midfielder this summer.
However, Perez’s displays have now triggered interest, as El GOL Digital in Spain report that Real Betis are hoping to bring the forward back to Spain this summer.
That would be a shock move for Perez, and Newcastle fans have now been taking to Twitter to offer their views on his future, almost four years since signing from Tenerife.
Some believe that Newcastle ultimately need better than Perez to thrive in the Premier League, suggesting he has been ‘dreadful’ for much of the season, and wouldn’t blame him if he wanted to leave the Mike Ashley regime – even if a move to Betis would be ‘strange’.
