Newcastle United got another vital win under their belts this weekend.

Newcastle United defeated Rotherham United 1-0 on Saturday courtesy of a first-half strike from Christian Atsu.

The winger has had to wait patiently for his chances since joining the Magpies on loan from Chelsea in the summer, but on this evidence he has given his manager Rafa Benitez plenty to think about.

Newcastle were looking to build on their sensational 4-3 victory against fellow promotion hopefuls Norwich City last time out, and while they did that there was still some criticism for a couple of their regular starters.

Mohamed Diame is not impressing the vast majority of Newcastle fans with his performances, but neither is local lad Paul Dummett.

The 25-year-old has featured regularly at left-back for Newcastle this season; however many fans feel he is not bringing enough to the side and should be playing in the middle of defence if anywhere.
