Newcastle United are reportedly set to sign the Nigeria international.
Newcastle United have been linked with another striker – and it’s not Arsenal’s Lucas Perez.
Speculation is rife that Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez wants to bring in the Spaniard, with Benitez already speaking to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger about him, according to The Chronicle.
But it would appear as if the Magpies have their eye on another striker: Olarenwaju Kayode.

Score Nigeria reported that the Rapid Wien forward could join United “within a matter of days”.
He is hardly a household name, though the 24-year-old hitman does have a decent goalscoring record and netted 17 Bundesliga goals last term to win the Golden Boot.
Kayode, who has 30 goals in 62 league matches for the Austrian side overall, might add something to Newcastle’s attack and although a lot fans of the North-East club aren’t overly familiar with him, they like the sound of him.
Benitez, who need a striker due to Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle being rather unproven Premier League marksmen, is gearing up for Newcastle’s first game of the season as Tottenham Hotspur visit St James’s Park on Sunday.
