Luuk de Jong again found the net for PSV Eindhoven last night.

PSV Eindhoven gave Tottenham Hotspur a real scare in the Champions League clash on Tuesday night – and gave Newcastle United fans a shock too.
PSV had already shown Spurs what they’re capable of with a 2-2 draw in their meeting in Eindhoven last time out, and headed to Wembley on Tuesday night in an attempt to ruin Tottenham’s Champions League hopes.
Spurs were desperate for a win but made a torrid start as Luuk de Jong thundered home a superb header inside the first 90 seconds of the game, giving PSV a 1-0 lead.
Goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet kept Spurs at bay time and time again before Harry Kane popped up to save Spurs, as he so often does, scoring twice in the final 12 minutes to make it 2-1 to Spurs in a superb late fightback.
Spurs fans had a real scare, and many Newcastle fans were simply stunned by De Jong scoring against Spurs for a second game in a row, having also found the net in that 2-2 draw.

De Jong, 28, had a brief loan spell with Newcastle in 2014, but failed to score a single goal as he was misused by Alan Pardew before heading back to Borussia Monchengladbach, and then sold on to PSV, where he has scored 92 goals in 178 games.
De Jong again showed his goalscoring prowess for PSV against Spurs, leaving Newcastle fans completely stunned that he’s the same player who was a ‘donkey’ at St James’ Park, noting that he was one of the worst strikers to wear a Newcastle shirt during his time with the club, but did more in a matter of minutes against English opposition last night than he did with Newcastle.
