The 22-year-old doesn’t plan on staying with Newcastle United for the long term it seems.
Some Newcastle United fans haven’t reacted well to comments made by Kenedy in Brazil.
The 22-year-old joined the Magpies on loan from Chelsea this past summer, after impressing at Newcastle during the second half of last season.
It has been a mixed return to Tyneside for the Brazilian winger, who has blown hot and cold for much of this season so far.
First-team chances in West London have been few and far between for Kenedy, who has only manged 15 Premier League appearances for the Blues since joining from Fluminense in 2015.
But he clearly has designs on being a success at Chelsea at some point in the future, which indicates that he doesn’t intend on staying at Newcastle for the long term.
He told UOL, in his native Brazil: “It’s nice to be on loan [at Newcastle] for more playing time. It’s better than staying at Chelsea and not playing.
“I [do though] have the dream to return and to be able to be a champion for the club [Chelsea].”
