Former Newcastle defender Daryl Janmaat starred for Watford on Monday night.

Watford defender Daryl Janmaat was a stand-out player from the Hornets’ incredible 4-1 win over Chelsea on Monday night as he scored his side’s second with the scores level at 1-1 – and Newcastle fans reacted on Twitter.
Troy Deeney had given Watford the lead, but the real drama unfolded in the last 10 minutes as Eden Hazard equalised. But the Hornets rallied, scoring three late goals to down Antonio Conte’s side at Vicarage Road.
Janmaat, 28, latched on to Roberto Pereyra’s pass before slotting a low effort past Thibaut Courtois to push Watford in front again. Gerard Deulofeu and Pereyra then increased the scoreline in what was an incredible result.

Right-back Janmaat moved to Hertfordshire in 2016 following Newcastle’s relegation after two years at St. James’ Park, when he joined the Toon under the guidance of Alan Pardew in July 2014.
However, there was no love lost between Janmaat and fans on Twitter, as the latter vented their frustration at the defender for failing to show the kind of quality he showed on Monday night throughout his two years on Tyneside.
One fan even stated that Janmaat’s goal showed “better movement and finish than our forwards”.
