Lozano’s Mexico lost 2-0 to Brazil, but Newcastle fans were impressed.

Mexico wizard Hirving Lozano failed to prevent his country crashing out of the World Cup in the Round of 16 following a 2-0 loss to Neymar’s Brazil – but Newcastle United fans were mightily impressed by his performance.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar stole the show on Monday afternoon, scoring Brazil’s first early in the second half before his excellent speed and dribbling set up substitute Roberto Firmino to score a tap-in.

However, Mexico had their chances and put up a strong fight against Tite’s Brazil, with 22-year-old Lozano showing just what he was capable of with a superb display of attacking prowess alongside West Ham’s Javier Hernandez.

Lozano’s form for club side PSV Eindhoven and indeed Mexico has reportedly alerted both Everton (Liverpool Echo), while Spanish outlet Sport claim La Liga champions Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the 32-cap.
The winger scored a sensational 19 goals in all competitions from the flank last season, as well as creating 11 goals in just 34 league and cup outings for PSV as they held aloft the Eredivisie title.

So, after domestic success and a strong World Cup on a personal level that included the winner in a shock 1-0 win over 2014 champions Germany, it comes as no surprise to see clubs keen on Lozano.
But Newcastle fans were particularly impressed with Lozano, as they look to add a winger to their side with the future of Matt Ritchie in doubt. The majority of fans urged manager Rafa Benitez to sign Lozano: “He’d be a great signing.”
