Fernando Torres has been linked with a move to Newcastle.

Fernando Torres has fuelled speculation on his future by stating once again that he will leave Spanish giants Atletico Madrid amid links to Newcastle United – but Toon fans have urged the club to avoid the veteran forward.
Torres, 34, has confirmed that he will leave Diego Simeone’s side for a second time at the end of the season, after first leaving the club to join Rafa Benitez’s Liverpool in 2007.
Now available on a free, reports have suggested that 6ft 1in forward Torres could be set to work with Benitez for a third time at St. James’ Park, after the two also combined at Chelsea.

Torres told Spanish outlet Cadena SAR, as quoted by the Evening Chronicle that he will leave Atletico: “I have not made the decision. I will say it as I have said: that I leave Atletico. I will not continue in Spain. Europe? I don’t know. One has an idea that can then change.”
The World Cup winner has huge experience in the Premier League, scoring 85 goals in 212 top-flight English appearances and his ability to find the back of the net on these shores could tempt Benitez.
However, Newcastle fans have urged their manager to avoid the 110-time international, despite being available on a free transfer.
One fan Tweeted a move would not make “financial sense”, as his wages and a signing on fee could prove to be costly.
