Switzerland suffered a 1-0 loss to England on Tuesday night.

Fabian Schar saw out the entire 90 minutes despite going down with injury on occasion as Switzerland suffered a 1-0 loss to England on Tuesday night – but some Newcastle fans were disappointed with his performance.
England secured a narrow 1-0 win at the King Power Stadium in what was only a friendly thanks to Marcus Rashford’s second-half strike, which saw the Manchester United attacker latch on to Kyle Walker’s deep cross.
The former Hoffenheim defender started alongside ex-Arsenal man Johan Djourou and Manuel Akanji in a three-man Swiss defence, while England rested the likes of Harry Kane, John Stones and Jordan Henderson from the off.
Schar, 26, has so far appeared twice for Newcastle since the Toon matched his £3million relegation release clause with Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna.

The 43-time international has been somewhat shaky in his displays against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle fans would have been hoping for a more solid display against The Three Lions.
But some Newcastle fans were unimpressed by Schar’s defensive work before complimenting his efforts going forward and being on the ball. One fan Tweeted: “Brilliant on the ball… Defending less impressive, though.”
