Newcastle United reportedly wanted Eliaquim Mangala before the Manchester City defender joined Everton on loan on January transfer deadline day.

Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Eliaquim Mangala for Everton against Arsenal.

Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Mangala for Everton against Arsenal – they are happy that the Magpies did not sign him.
The Daily Mail reported last week that Rafael Benitez’s side were interested in signing the Frenchman on loan from City in the January transfer window.
