Newcastle suffered a 1-0 loss to Sam Allardyce’s Everton.

Newcastle United suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to former manager Sam Allardyce on Monday night as Everton snatched all three points at Goodison Park – and fans are disappointed with the performance of DeAndre Yedlin.
The 24-year-old has made the right-back slot his own at Newcastle this season under Rafa Benitez, despite the summer signing of former Liverpool and Sunderland defender Javi Manquillo.
However, USA international Yedlin was arguably at fault for the only goal of the game, as he got caught underneath the flight of Yannick Bolasie’s cross before Theo Walcott lashed home an effort from eight yards.

The goal proved to be decisive, as Newcastle failed to significantly test former Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, with just two shots on target throughout the entire 90 minutes.
Newcastle fans took to Twitter to express their frustration at Yedlin’s performance, as the Toon’s consecutive run of four victories came to an end on Merseyside.
One fan even urged the club to “bin off Yedlin this summer”, despite the former Tottenham Hotspur defender having three years left on a contract worth £20,000 a week according to the Daily Star.
