Paul Dummett made his 100th Premier League appearance for Newcastle United on Saturday.

Newcastle United picked up a point away at Watford on Saturday afternoon as they avoided defeat in the final game of 2018.
The Magpies took the lead through Salomon Rondon, but Abdoulaye Doucoure equalised for Watford to earn 1-1 draw.
The game also saw left back Paul Dummett make his 100th Premier League appearance for the club, ending the year in style.
The Welsh international was born in Newcastle and came up through the Magpies ranks, and he is approaching a 19th year with the club.
Saturday’s game saw him play a 100th Premier League game, and Newcastle sent out a fascinating tweet about the matter earlier today.
Newcastle noted that former boss Alan Pardew didn’t think Dummett would be good enough for the club, and he has now proven him wrong with his new milestone.

Magpies fans took to Twitter to react, praising the club for taking a dig at Pardew, suggesting they couldn’t believe Newcastle posted something with so much edge whilst noting that it’s wonderful for Dummett to have made Pardew eat his words.
Others still don’t really rate Dummett, and feel that Pardew actually had a point all along, adding to the notion that Newcastle could yet target another left back in January.
