Chelsea have been linked with Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Chelsea are planning to make a £30 million bid for Jamaal Lascelles.
According to The Mirror, Chelsea are interested in signing Lascelles from Premier League rivals Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Blues will make a £30m move for the former Nottingham Forest defender, who earns £40,000 per week as salary at Newcastle, according to Spotrac.com.

Lascelles is one of the best players in the current Magpies’ team and is one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old defender has developed well playing under Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez, and Chelsea’s (reported) interest in him does not come as a surprise.
The Sun reported last month that West Ham United are planning a £15m offer for Lascelles in the summer transfer window.
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson also seems to rate Lascelles highly, and has been quoted as saying by ChronicleLive following Newcastle’s win against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon: “I like the centre-half, Lascelles. He’s a good player for me. For me, I think he goes somewhere and plays for a big team. I really do like him.”
Newcastle fans, though, do not want to see the Magpies sell Lascelles in the summer, and also think that he will cost much more than £30m.
