Newcastle United have allegedly snubbed former striker Andy Carroll.

It’s eight years this month since Andy Carroll left Newcastle United for Liverpool – and yet again he has been linked with a return to St James’ Park.
A Newcastle youth graduate, Carroll starred in the first half of the 201-11 season, earning himself a huge move to Liverpool, which didn’t exactly sit well with Magpies fans.
Carroll flopped massively at St James’ Park, before moving on loan to West Ham in 2012, then striking a permanent deal with the Hammers.
The 30-year-old’s time in East London has been ravaged by injuries, limiting him to just 34 goals in 138 games for the Hammers.
His contract expires this summer, and it looks likely that Carroll will move on, with West Ham allegedly attempting to offload him one way or another.
The Chronicle report that Newcastle rejected a part-exchange offer from West Ham, which involved taking Carroll back and giving up Jonjo Shelvey.

Carroll is now believed to be available for £2million given that he will be a free agent in a matter of months, and Newcastle fans have been taking to Twitter to offer their views.
Some actually think that Carroll is worth a punt at £2million, feeling that he would be a better option than Joselu, and whilst a swap for Shelvey seemingly isn’t of interest, many fans would actually take Carroll back in a cheap deal this month.
