The former Newcastle United striker struggled for new club Fulham on Monday night.

Newcastle United fans on Twitter are really laying into Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Fulham posted a dismal performance on Monday by losing 1-0 to Huddersfield, with the former Newcastle striker nowhere to be seen for large spells of the game.
Mitrovic, who left the Magpies to join Fulham in a potential £27 million transfer [Sky Sports] during the summer, was anonymous for the most part and is now six games without a goal.
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez came under scrutiny for letting the 24-year-old – who has five goals in 10 Premier League games this season – join the West London side.
But quite a few fans of the St James’s Park club believe that Benitez – who exiled Mitrovic last season, before loaning him to the Cottagers – has been exonerated on the back of the player’s rough period.
Here’s how they reacted:
The writing was on the wall for Mitrovic at Newcastle last season, when Benitez didn’t start him in a single Premier League game.
Things appeared to go sour between the pair in August of last year when the former Anderlecht star was given a three-match retrospective ban for elbowing West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini, in a game Mitrovic scored in.
The Spanish manager didn’t play him again until October, before ultimately sanctioning his loan to London.
