Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to reports linking the club with a move for Xherdan Shaqiri.
Switzerland international winger Shaqiri is on the books of Italian giants Inter Milan at the moment, but he has been linked with a move away from the San Siro this summer.
The Liverpool Echo reported over the weekend that Newcastle want to sign the 23-year-old, although on Monday The Chronicle claimed that the Premier League outfit are not interested in him.
Newcastle fans, though, seem to believe that the club should make a move for the former Bayern Munich winger, who moved to Inter only in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old’s growth and development as a footballer has been stunted over the past few years, but he remains a supremely talented footballer who is hugely creative.
