According to The Telegraph, West Ham are still keen on appointing Rafa Benitez as manager if they get the chance.
The Hammers are contemplating the future of Slaven Bilic after a rough start to the season which has the club in 17th position.
Benitez is reportedly on an ambitious shortlist, along with Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.
The Spaniard was close to becoming West Ham boss back in 2015, but signed a deal with Real Madrid instead after Carlo Ancelotti left the club.

His time at the Spanish giants lasted only a few months, and he went on to take a deal to manage Newcastle instead.
He stuck with them despite their relegation to the Championship, and looks destined for an instant return to the Premier League.

Newcastle are already five points clear at the top of the league, and there is surely little chance of Benitez walking out on them, especially to join another relegation threatened team.
