Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Ravel Morrison in the January transfer window.
Morrison is on the books of Italian club Lazio at the moment and has a contract with the Serie A outfit until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
According to The Sun, the former West Ham United midfielder is expected to join Newcastle in January.
The 23-year-old former Manchester United prospect has yet to make an appearance in Serie A for Lazio this season, while during the 2015-16 campaign, he could feature just four times in the league for the Italian club.
Morrison started his professional club football career at Premier League giants United, but he left for West Ham in 2012.
The midfielder failed to make a huge impact at the Hammers and had loan spells at three different clubs during his time at the London outfit.
The 23-year-old featured for Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City on loan.
