Newcastle fans react on Twitter to Joselu’s performance against Burnley

Newcastle United suffered a 1-0 defeat in their Premier League clash with Burnley on Monday night.

Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to express their frustration in the wake of their 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Monday night, with much of their anger being directed at striker Joselu for his poor display at Turf Moor.

The Magpies missed the chance to go sixth in the Premier League table as a late Jeff Hendrick goal saw the Clarets move above Rafa Benitez’s men in the top flight.

It was a hugely disappointing night for Newcastle, and a number of players have come in for criticism from the supporters following the defeat.

One of the players who seems to have attracted the most criticism is Joselu, who struggled to make much of an impact at Turf Moor.

His critics have not been impressed with the Spaniard since his summer move from Stoke, with just two Premier League goals coming so far, including the fortuitous goal in the draw with Liverpool at the start of the month.

And many have taken to social media following the loss to express their desire to see Aleksandar Mitrovic back in the fold – even though they are not convinced that he is the answer either.
