Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Jordon Ibe from Bournemouth this summer.

A number of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Sun at the weekend which suggested that Steve Bruce is interested in signing Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe this summer – and it appears that it is not a move that would go down well at all.
The Magpies have arguably bounced back extremely well after a slow start to the summer. They have made some exciting signings, and there appears to be more optimism than there had been when Rafa Benitez’s departure was initially announced.
And it appears that Newcastle are hoping to enjoy a busy end to the window, with The Sun reporting that Bruce wants Ahmed Elmohamady, while the club also have Emil Krafth and Ibe on their radar.
Ibe is an intriguing target. It seems fair to say that he has not realised his full potential since joining Bournemouth in a then-club record £15 million move in 2016 (fee reported by BBC Sport).

In three seasons at the Vitality Stadium, he has scored three goals and contributed just eight assists in the Premier League. He has struggled to hold down a starting spot in Eddie Howe’s side, but it is arguably not a huge surprise that The Sun is reporting that he could be available in the final days of the window.
There seems to be a small handful of Newcastle fans on social media who believe that Ibe is a much better player than what he has shown at Bournemouth, and thus, they believe that he could be an inspired signing.

However, the large majority appear to have no interest in seeing the Magpies sign the former Liverpool man and are desperately hoping that the rumours fizzle out before the deadline passes.
