Isaac Hayden has recently said that he wishes to leave Newcastle United, and some felt that his FA Cup performance showed that.
A number of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that they do not want to see Isaac Hayden play for the club again after the midfielder’s display during their FA Cup third round tie.
The Magpies will go into the hat for the fourth round, but only after an 84th minute penalty from Matt Ritchie spared Rafa Benitez’s men from being knocked out by Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
Bradley Dack had given the visitors the lead at St James’ Park, and Newcastle managed to secure the draw as Ayoze Perez was brought down inside the box and Ritchie converted the spot-kick.
Blackburn are a good side, but there were a number of disappointing displays from those in black and white, and one of the players that drew the most criticism was Hayden.
The midfielder told the Chronicle earlier this week that he was still keen to leave the club this month, and several supporters felt that his lacklustre performance reflected his desire to quit the Magpies.
The 23-year-old was substituted shortly before the hour-mark on Saturday, and a number of fans on social media have insisted that he should not picked for the side again as he clearly does not want to stay.
