Newcastle United reportedly want Alban Lafont this summer.

Newcastle United fans have offered a mixed reaction to rumours about signing Alban Lafont.
According to L’Equipe, Newcastle, Roma and Napoli will battle over signing the highly-rated Toulouse goalkeeper, with Transfermarkt pricing him at around £16 million.
It’s no secret that the Magpies have a whole host of goalkeepers, with Martin Dubravka, a loan signing from Sparta Prague, keeping Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow out of the side, while exciting academy prospect Freddie Woodman is on loan in Scotland for the time being.

And although some fans of the St James’s Park side are enthused about the link to Lafont, others do not believe that it is credible at the moment.
Some fans are right – it doesn’t seem viable at the moment.
Not only would he cost a lot of money – more than Rafael Benitez can afford to spend on a goalkeeper – but Dubravka will surely be signed on a permanent basis this summer, having impressed in a big way so far, while Woodman is one for the future.
Signing Lafont would be very exciting, but with Napoli and Roma also in the mix, coupled with the other factors, it seems hugely improbable.
