Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is reportedly on Leeds United’s radar heading into the January transfer window.

A number of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports emerging from the Chronicle this week which have suggested that Leeds are eyeing a January move for Freddie Woodman.
The Whites have endured a difficult time in the goalkeeping department. Bailey Peacock-Farrell is the current Elland Road hero after his stunning penalty save in their win over Reading, but Marcelo Bielsa still has a problem.
Jamal Blackman’s loan spell is already over, so Bielsa has no other senior keeper available to him. Will Huffer made his first-team debut in the recent win over Bristol City.
That appears to have prompted Leeds to have a look at Woodman. The Chronicle reports that the Whites have already reached out to Newcastle to find out about the youngster’s availability, while he is keen to leave St James’ Park on loan.

And it seems that plenty of Magpies fans would like to see Woodman head to Elland Road. The 21-year-old is an extremely bright prospect, but he can have few complaints about his lack of game-time with Martin Dubravka holding down the number one spot.
Some supporters believe that working under Bielsa could be exactly what Woodman needs, and thus, they hope that Leeds do manage to agree a January deal for the starlet.
