Newcastle United are reportedly set to reignite move to sign Liverpool’s Danny Ings.

Newcastle United are reportedly set to reignite their interest in Liverpool striker Danny Ings in the January transfer window after failing to sign him in the summer – but Toon fans are not impressed on Twitter.
The Daily Mail claims Newcastle are eyeing a potential loan move for the injury-prone 25-year-old, who has managed just three senior appearances under Jurgen Klopp.
One-time England international Ings has suffered two anterior cruciate ligament injuries during Klopp’s tenure as Liverpool manager, but has regained his fitness on Merseyside.

However, his lack of game time in a Liverpool shirt has seen him plummet down the pecking order at Anfield and is likely to be surplus to requirements, with Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi and Dom Solanke all preferred to Ings up front.
Newcastle have managed just 10 Premier League goals in 11 outings this season and although they remain solid at the back, more needs to be done in the final third to fire the Toon away from a relegation fight come the end of the season.
Newcastle fans took to Twitter after hearing their club are reportedly set to rekindle their interest in the former Burnley forward in January, with one fan describing Ings as a “Premier League Under-23’s striker”.
