Barlaser’s long-term future at Newcastle remains very much a doubt.

Newcastle United midfielder Dan Barlaser has agreed to go on loan once again, joining League One side Accrington Stanley on loan until the January transfer window – and Newcastle fans reckon it could be his last chance.

The 21-year-old was loaned to Crewe Alexandra in January but managed just four appearances for the Staffordshire-based side before cancelling his loan early in April.

Highly-rated as a teenager after making six appearances for Turkey’s Under-17 side, midfielder Barlaser has fallen by the wayside somewhat and is now looking to salvage what is left of his Newcastle career.

At 21, he has made just three senior appearances for Newcastle since coming through the youth academy, two of which came in the Carabao Cup in 2016-17 against Oxford United and Birmingham City.

He then appeared against Nottingham Forest at the start of the 2017-18 season in the same competition, but has failed to make a single Premier League appearance for Rafa Benitez’s side.

Now, he has joined Accrington in a bid to show he deserves a chance at Newcastle, with two years still left to run on his contract. But some Newcastle fans reckon the loan with Stanley is his last chance to prove his worth.
