Newcastle have reportedly tabled a bid for Stefano Sturaro.

Newcastle United have reportedly made an offer for long-term target Stefano Sturaro as Rafa Benitez finally looks to bring the Juventus midfielder to the Premier League – and Toon fans are desperate to see their club land the Italian.
Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim the 25-year-old is the subject of a £11.4million offer from Benitez, who is keen to bring in a midfielder with Mikel Merino being linked with a return to his homeland of Spain.

It is believed that Italian champions Juventus are looking for a fee of £17.5million for the four-time international, who has three years remaining on his contract with Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
However, it is claimed that the two clubs could come to an agreement over a fee, which would be between £13.1million and £14million for Sturaro’s services.

Sturaro has been a bit-part player in Juve’s 2017-18 campaign, with Allegri boasting plenty of options in the middle of the park in the likes of Sami Khedira, Blaise Matuidi, Rodrigo Bentancur, Claudio Marchisio and Miralem Pjanic.
Newcastle fans are desperate to see their club complete the signing of Sturaro, who is renowned for his versatility and tough-tackling style of play in midfield. One fan posted: “He’s amazing, get him signed”.
