Newcastle are reportedly set to smash their record transfer fee.

Newcastle United are reportedly after Hoffenheim attacker Joelinton ahead of the summer transfer window with reports suggesting a deal is close to being agreed – and Newcastle fans are stunned.
German outlet Sport1 claim Newcastle are set to sign the Brazilian 22-year-old in the summer for an astronomical £52million, more than doubling their current club-record transfer fee.
Owner Mike Ashley surprised many by financing a deal to finally bring Miguel Almiron to the club for £21million from MLS side Atlanta United, eclipsing the previous record which saw Michael Owen join the club in 2005.
Now, if the report is to be believed, Newcastle are willing to spend as much as £52million on a player that has lit up German football and is adored by his home fans. Indeed, Joelinton is in the form of his life and is getting better and better.

The uncapped Brazilian boasts electrifying speed, plenty of ability in the air and breathtaking skill on the ball – the kind of quality expected from a South American attacker. He has been involved in 18 goals in 28 games this season.
Scoring 10 of those himself, he has also created another eight. Newcastle fans reacted to the news that Joelinton could be the next player through the entrance at St. James’ Park, with the majority shocked at such a big-money move.
