Fulham’s loan man has hit the ground running back in the Championship – and supporters of his parent club are paying close attention.

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his first club goal since August on Wednesday as Fulham drew 1-1 at Bristol City.
The Serbia international fell out of favour at Newcastle United following a suspension after a promising start to the season, leading to a January loan switch to Fulham.
After impressing in his early displays at Craven Cottage, Mitrovic’s first goal for the club arrived at Ashton Gate as he tapped home from Cyrus Christie’s pass.

A return to the scoresheet is exactly what both the forward and his national team needed ahead of the World Cup, but this strike also piqued the interest of supporters back at Newcastle.
Mitrovic remains a popular figure among large sections of the support on Tyneside, although there are also many doubters, who question the front man’s discipline and ability to perform at the top level.
Unsurprisingly, after this goal, Newcastle fans were divided on what it might mean for the former Anderlecht man…
Neither Joselu nor Dwight Gayle – who kept Mitrovic out of the Newcastle team – have scored since his departure, while Rafa Benitez is still waiting on new boy Islam Slimani’s return to fitness.
Mitrovic will hope to prove the Spaniard wrong with consistent displays at Fulham and he has certainly made a good start.
