Newcastle have submitted their 25-man Premier League squad.

Newcastle United have surprisingly included ostracised left footer Achraf Lazaar in their 25-man squad after the list was confirmed by the Premier League’s official website – and some Newcastle fans showed their frustration on Twitter.
The 26-year-old joined Newcastle from Palermo in the summer of 2016, but managed only nine appearances in his debut season as Rafa Benitez preferred Paul Dummett on the left side of defence.
For 2017-18, the Morocco international joined Serie A side Benevento on a season-long loan, but that hardly reignited his career as he managed only nine outings for the club – before they were relegated from the top tier of Italian football.
Lazaar is yet to make an appearance for Newcastle since returning to the club from his loan, but Benitez could now give him a second chance at St. James’ Park after including him in his 25-man squad.

Renowned for his close footwork and ability to get forward from the left side of defence, Lazaar can also play on the wing and has three years remaining on his contract which the Daily Star claim is worth £15,000 a week.
Some Newcastle fans reacted to the news that Lazaar has been included in the squad for the 2018-19 campaign.
