Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing West Brom wideman Callum McManaman before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday evening.
According to Sky Sports, the Magpies are looking to bolster their options out-wide with Chelsea winger Christian Atsu also close to joining the Tyneside club.
And McManaman could soon be heading up north himself after failing to secure a first-team spot for the Baggies following his £4.75m move from Wigan in January 2015.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis has also said: “I expect McManaman to leave – we’ll get our money back on him.”

Before joining the Baggies, McManaman was found regularly impressing in a Wigan shirt and was named Man of the Match in the Latics famous 1-0 FA Cup victory over Manchester City in 2013.
But during his spell at Athletic, McManaman became an unpopular figure on Tyneside and this was no small part down to his knee-high challenge on Newcastle full-back Massadio Haidara.

The tackle was missed by the match officials as McManaman escaped a booking let alone the straight red that many feel he deserved.
The fact that United then went on to lose the game made it an even more bitter pill to swallow for Magpies fans and unsurprisingly, they haven’t taken this news of a potential transfer particularly well…
