Celtic are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, with a return for Fraser Forster now looking pretty unlikely.
Forster rejoined Celtic last summer, penning a season-long loan deal from Southampton having fallen down the pecking order on the South Coast.
Five years after leaving Celtic, Forster was back, and he turned in a superb season – but now doesn’t look to be returning again, with another loan move not in his plans.
Neil Lennon must now look elsewhere for a new goalkeeper, and The Chronicle claim that Celtic want Newcastle United stopper Freddie Woodman.
The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Swansea City, and has turned in impressive displays during his time with the Championship club.
Woodman’s displays seemingly won’t help him play at Newcastle. They already have Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow, and have just signed Mark Gillespie to play as third-choice stopper next season.

That means there is no room for Woodman, and amid links to Celtic, Newcastle fans have been reacting on Twitter to the speculation.
Some Newcastle supporters think Woodman should be second choice and Darlow should be the one moved on, believing that the Magpies will waste him.
Some even compared Woodman to Forster himself for that reason, thinking that he will end up becoming a star elsewhere if the Magpies aren’t careful.
