Newcastle suffered a 2-0 loss to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men at home.

Newcastle United did their utmost to prevent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United from making it four wins out of four under the Norwegian, but they eventually lost 2-0 at home – and fans have slammed Ayoze Perez.
Rafa Benitez’s side matched Newcastle throughout the first half, with Christian Atsu having a number of half-chances to give The Toon the lead. But eventually, two second-half goals saw United win the match.
Martin Dubravka failed to keep hold of Marcus Rashford’s dipping free-kick just after the hour mark, and substitute Romelu Lukaku came on to score within seconds of his entrance by tapping home.
A counter-attack with 10 minutes left saw substitutes Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez combine, before the latter poked the ball into Rashford’s pass and he calmly finished past Dubravka to secure all three points.
It sees Solskjaer pick up his fourth win from four matches as Manchester United manager – scoring 14 goals in the process and conceding just three. But it leaves Newcastle just two points above the drop zone.

Benitez opted to play Spaniard Perez from the right flank in a 5-4-1 system that also saw Matt Ritchie play at left-back and Paul Dummett in the middle of the defence.
Newcastle fans were far from impressed with the former Tenerife star, who is now in his fifth year at St. James’ Park following his £1.5million (Guardian) move from the Spanish club. Supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
