Ashley is said to be looking to sell Newcastle in the near future.

Mike Ashley is reportedly blocking a Newcastle United sale because he wants his Sports Direct company to be advertised at the club, even if he sells the club – and Toon fans have blasted their current owner.
There are interested parties looking to purchase Newcastle from Ashley, including former Manchester United and Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon. He is heading a consortium to buy the Tyneside club.
But it is believed that Kenyon’s consortium are only willing to offer £200million, way off Ashley’s £300million asking price. Now, a new stumbling block has come to light.

Ashley has now set off for his Christmas holidays and is set to be abroad for the fortnight, suggesting that he does not believe a deal will be done before the January transfer window.
Newcastle fans have once again hammered Ashley on Twitter, with the consensus being that he does not want to sell the club and supporters reckon they will be stuck with Ashley for a lot longer than believed.
