Newcastle are considering chasing Emmanuel Dennis as Eddie Howe desperately chases attacking additions this summer.

The Magpies are focused on signing a winger and a striker before the end of the summer transfer window.

A goalkeeper and centre back have been brought in with Nick Pope and Sven Botman arriving, whilst left back Matt Targett has signed permanently.

It’s now all down to attacking additions, which pave proven a little elusive for Newcastle so far this summer.

Players like Moussa Diaby, Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have been too expensive whilst Hugo Ekitike snubbed Newcastle for Paris Saint-Germain.

Newcastle are considering chasing Emmanuel Dennis

Newcastle will be hoping for a suitable deal soon and Watford attacker Emmanuel Dennis is a name under consideration.

The Chronicle reported earlier this month that Newcastle had been offered the chance to sign Dennis after Watford’s relegation.

Agents working to get Dennis a move contacted Newcastle and that move may now be a possibility.

90Min report that Newcastle are very much considering a move to sign Dennis as he seeks to leave Watford.

Dennis, 24, joined Watford from Club Brugge last summer after a disappointing loan spell at Koln in Germany.

The Nigerian then hit 10 goals in 33 Premier League outings last season, proving to be a quality addition for the Hornets.

It’s suggested that Watford around around £20million for Dennis this summer, with West Ham United, Everton and Nottingham Forest all holding talks with his agent Drew Uyi.

Newcastle are seemingly eyeing a move of their own though and may see £20million as better value than the fees being demanded for the likes of Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison.

Dennis has the added advantage of being able to play out wide or up front, providing great flexibility for Eddie Howe.

Dennis may not be a big name but he should be playing higher than the Championship – and Newcastle could offer him that immediate Premier League return.
