Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini loses his cool against Alan Pardew, according to a report.

Newcastle United are a club who are plummeting towards the abyss.

Not only are the Magpies having a largely mediocre season, but their manager is also serving a touchline ban for headbutting an opposition player and has blamed the local press for their defeats.

A key player (Yohan Cabaye) left in January and there are strong suggestions that a few more could head for the exit door in the summer.

As if that weren’t enough, it has now been reported by The Mirror that the club’s captain had a go at his manager.

Newcastle skipper Fabricio Coloccini was reportedly involved in a dressing room rant following his side’s 1-0 defeat to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.

It was the Magpies’ fourth loss in a row and their 11th in their last 16 league fixtures, placing them ninth in the table with 46 points from 34 matches.

After the game, the Argentine centre-back lost his patience in the dressing room and lashed out at the way Newcastle are playing.

The 32-year-old also had a go at boss Alan Pardew for the way he has been managing the team.

Last week it was Hatem Ben Arfa who was doing the shouting in the dressing room following a 4-0 hammering by Manchester United at St James’ Park.

The 27-year-old was quickly punished and relegated to the bench against Stoke.

Will Coloccini suffer a similar fate against Swansea City this Saturday? Let’s wait and watch.
