Don’t write off Newcastle United in regards to Conor Gallagher.
That was the message from Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie on Twitter earlier today.
Gallagher has long been linked with a move from Chelsea to Newcastle.
And Downie believes that a stint at St James’s Park is very possible, before tomorrow’s 11pm transfer deadline.
He said on Twitter:

This would be a fascinating transfer, if it does materialise.
Remember, the Magpies have just spent £45 million on luring Anthony Gordon from Everton on Sunday afternoon.
But with Jonjo Shelvey reportedly set to leave Newcastle shortly, a replacement may be needed – and what a replacement this would be.
This is someone who Ian Wright said ‘has got everything’ in the past [Wrighty’s House podcast] and his dynamism could make the St James’s Park side even better.
Eddie Howe’s side are third in the Premier League and on course for a shock Champions League spot as things stand.
If you’re Chelsea, you have to consider this as strengthening a superior team this season, though.
Roman Abramovich never would’ve given his constent, but let’s see what Todd Boehly does.
