Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United could sell Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea target Allan Saint-Maximin in the summer transfer window, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

Crook has told GiveMeSport that Newcastle have not totally ruled out selling winger Saint-Maximin this summer.

The Northern Echo reported on July 22 that Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in signing Saint-Maximin from Premier League rivals Newcastle this summer.

The report claimed that the Magpies are expecting bids from Spurs and the Blues this summer.

Crook told GiveMeSport about Saint-Maximin about Tottenham: “He’s a player they admire.

“Newcastle wouldn’t totally rule out selling him. But he’s a fans’ favourite; they’d want a lot of money.”

Boost for Spurs and the Blues

In our view, Newcastle United reportedly being willing to sell Allan Saint-Maximin is a boost to Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea’s chances of signing him.

Now, of course, Newcastle will not sell the French winger on the cheap, but at least Chelsea and Tottenham could open talks with the Magpies.

Described as “a brilliant player” by former Newcastle loanee Jetro Willems in The Chronicle in July 2022, Saint-Maximin scores goals, creates chances, put in brilliant crosses, and is quick.

Saint-Maximin has scored 11 goals and created 21 big chances in 88 Premier League appearance so far in his career.

The winger is only 25 now, and the Tottenham and Chelsea target will get better and improve in the coming years.
