According to Calciomercato, Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu could now make a huge move to Inter Milan or Juventus.

It’s claimed that AC Milan have been looking at Tomiyasu, but now looks to be cooling their interest in order to focus on Diogo Dalot’s future.

The report does though add that Tomiyasu’s ‘excellent performances’ for Bologna have sparked interest from both Inter and Juve.

Tomiyasu’s ability to play at centre back or right back is thought to be appealing to Anre Pirlo at Juve, given that he would be versatile enough to play in different formations.

The Japanese ace is seen as the ‘ideal’ challenger for Milan Skriniar at Inter in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system, but Bologna want up to €25million (£22million) for him.

This would be pretty embarrassing for Newcastle United, who wanted to sign Tomiyasu back in September according to The Chronicle, but couldn’t until DeAndre Yedlin moved on.

Yedlin stayed put, so Newcastle wouldn’t move – and they will surely be frustrated as Yedlin has now gone to Galatasaray, but Tomiyasu may be out of reach.

His price tag has shot up and now European giants want him, meaning a move to Newcastle suddenly looks very, very unlikely for the 22-year-old defender.
