Juventus are now waiting to hear offers for Newcastle United target Adrien Rabiot ahead of the summer transfer window over fears he may leave for free, according to Calciomercato.
Rabiot will enter the final year of his contract with the Serie A side at the end of the season. He moved to Turin for free in 2019 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the lapse of his deal in France. But the midfielder has struggled to prove himself as an essential Bianconeri star.
The Allianz Stadium side have welcomed talks over Rabiot’s future in past windows, but his wage has blocked a departure. He earns €7m-a-year (£112k-a/w) with the Old Lady, which various potential suitors have all baulked at matching over the years.

Juventus are not yet urging Rabiot out the door in Turin, despite his contractual situation. But the Bianconeri are once again waiting for offers for the 26-year-old to avoid a total loss. If an adequate bid, therefore, lands on their desk for this summer, they will consider selling.
Newcastle offered fresh chance to sign Rabiot from Juventus
Newcastle explored a deal to sign Rabiot from Juventus during the recent January transfer market. The Toon submitted polls to the Serie A side to sound out their demands. They also sought his interest in joining a Premier League relegation fight under Saudi-backed owners.
But the midfielder turned down the chance to join the Magpies at the time without giving the move much thought. Now, Juventus are prepared to sell Rabiot for fees starting at just €10m-15m (£8.5m-£12.5m). Such is their fears of the Frenchman leaving for free next year.

Rabiot – who former Bianconeri star and manager Andrea Pirlo called ‘complete’ – has not helped his value, either. Critics slammed the 24-cap international after producing a horror-show display in the Champions League against Villarreal when he was lucky to avoid a red.
