Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United and Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
Townsend has been on the books of Palace since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Newcastle United following the Magpies’ relegation from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

According to The Times, the Eagles had to pay the Magpies a transfer fee of £13 million in order to secure the services of the former Tottenham Hotspur winger.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Palace manager De Boer, who was appointed in the role earlier this summer, could be prepared to listen to offers for Townsend.

Boost for Leicester City and Newcastle United
According to The Daily Mail, Leicester City and Newcastle United are interested in signing Townsend from Palace in the summer transfer window, and Palace’s (reported) stance will come as a boost to their chances of landing him.
The 26-year-old is a good winger and knows the Premier League inside out, and the England international would be a good signing for Leicester or Newcastle.
Townsend was on the books of the Magpies during the second half of the 2015-16 season, and he did relatively well during his spell at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle need to sign some players who have experience of playing in the Premier League, and the former Spurs winger could be a smart recruitment.
