Barcelona fans have reacted to claims that Newcastle have joined them in the race for Arthur Cabral.
Goal have suggested that the big pockets of Newcastle have made a move to try and sign the FC Basel striker.
Whilst Newcastle are in a bit of a mess, in regards to their Premier League standing, they now have serious money to throw at players following their recent Saudi-led takeover.
Judging by some of the comments from Barca fans, they want their club to sign Cabral and they aren’t appreciative of Newcastle entering the race for his signature.
Of course, if the Brazilian had to choose, he would go to the La Liga giants over most.
But what the Magpies have that the Spanish side don’t is a lot of money to try and lure the player towards their direction.
Barcelona supporters have pointed out how Newcastle are seemingly turning into PSG and trying to elevate themselves using money.
If Eddie Howe, who helped the Magpies to their first win of the season over the weekend, can help them survive then things might just become different for the club going forward.
And those in the St James’ Park boardroom might just upset a few more teams because of their spending power.
