The Newcastle United star has enjoyed four-and-a-half successful years at St James’ Park.

Newcastle ace Ayoze Perez sat down for an exclusive interview with Spanish media outlet Marca, and suggested that it is obvious that he wants to return to La Liga at some point in the future.
The 25-year-old joined the Magpies from Tenerife in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth just £1 million, and he has since gone on to chalk up 42 goals and 17 assists in 187 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Perez has played a key role for Newcastle this season, with seven goals and four assists to his name in 33 outings, and he is widely regarded to be one of Rafa Benitez’s most important players.
The Spaniard’s current contract with the Toon expires in the summer of 2021, so Rafa will surely be keen to tie him down to a new deal sooner rather than later.
The Newcastle front-man sat down for an exclusive interview with Spanish media outlet Marca, and suggested that it his ambition to move back to Spain in the future, although he did share his gratitude for what the Tyneside club have done for him:

“I am very grateful to Newcastle, but it is obvious that someday I would like to come back and play in La Liga.”
Whilst Perez has made it clear that he would like to return home at some point in the future, he does seem to be more than happy with his life currently on Tyneside, so Newcastle fans need not worry about losing the Spaniard just yet.
