West Ham’s Winston Reid celebrates scoring their third goal
New Zealand national coach Anthony Hudson has been discussing the West Ham defender Winston Reid, after calling up the centre-back for upcoming international friendlies against Mexico and the USA.
Reid has been struggling along with the rest of his West Ham team in recent weeks. The Hammers are without a win in the Premier League since the end of August and are currently 18th in the table.

So the international break probably came at a good time for Reid and his West Ham teammates – as they can get away from the recent stress of action at West Ham.
Hudson has explained just how excited the Hammers defender is ahead of his return to action with the All Whites.
Speaking to New Zealand Football he had this to say:
“Winston is excited.
“He can’t wait to get back in with the team. He was in touch with me ahead of my trip to the UK and has been in contact with me regularly to see how the team is developing.
“We can’t wait for him to be back and likewise he can’t wait for this tour.”

West Ham fans will be hoping that Reid can find his best form during the international break with New Zealand.
If he can use his time to kick-start his form it could certainly have a knock-on effect for the whole of the West Ham team when he heads back to London next week.
