New York Knicks star Josh Hart has reacted to Argentina’s 2-1 victory over England in the World Cup semi-final.
Anthony Gordon scored from Morgan Rogers’ excellent cross to give England a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute.
However, Enzo Fernandez’s long-range strike started Argentina’s comeback before Lautaro Martinez completed it.
Martinez was left unmarked at the back post and headed the ball in from Lionel Messi’s right-footed cross.
Messi had a relatively quiet game, but he still provided two assists as Argentina reached their second consecutive World Cup final.
Hart knew he had watched something special and praised Messi immediately after he delivered another World Cup moment.

Josh Hart calls Lionel Messi ‘inevitable’ after Argentina’s win
Josh Hart is an avid soccer fan and often tweets about his Premier League team, Chelsea, during the season.
Hart has also followed the 2026 World Cup closely, posting his opinions on the USMNT and other teams on social media.
After watching Argentina’s comeback against England in the semi-final, Hart tweeted: “Messi is inevitable.”
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks forward also claimed that Messi is greater than Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Many consider them the two greatest players ever, but Messi’s performances at the World Cup have ended the debate.
While Spain eliminated Portugal in the Round of 16, 39-year-old Messi has carried Argentina to the final.
Even though USMNT star Christian Pulisic is often called ‘the LeBron James of soccer’, that nickname should really be Messi’s.
His longevity has been absolutely incredible, as he continues to impress 21 years after his Argentina international debut.
